How do you determine when my trap should be pumped?

During our first inspection, we determine the level of solids within the trap. When the trap reaches 40%, which is calculated by the amount of grease cap at the top and food / trash at the bottom, the system should be pumped and cleaned. Back to Top

How do you determine the proper frequency of pumping?
Our inspector will return one month after service to test trap again. We add up the total percentage of grease, trash and food to determine a total percentage accumulated during this time. We then calculate how many months it takes to reach 40% capacity. This determines the appropriate frequency necessary to keep your trap within city ordinance. Back to Top
